Charlotte Bobcats draft pick
Charlotte was 2 places out from the playoffs. This team is heading in the right direction. The starting lineup of Raymond Felton, Raja Bell, Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw and Omeka Okafor is a fun one to watch. With DJ Augustine coming off the bench along with Vladimir Ramonovic, they can create some difficult matchups. Juwon Howard is a free agent. Sean May and Felton are restricted free agents. With Augistine, the Bobcats don't have to match offers that Felton may get. I think they should within reason, but they don't have to. The Bobcats need more scoring and more shooters. The Bobcats have the 12th 40th and 54th picks to try and do just that. Most draft boards have Gerald Henderson going to Charlotte. He is athletic and plays hard, but isn't a shooter. The past 14 drafts have only produced one starter and 10 bench players with this pick. I'm guessing that another bench player will be found here. The 40th pick has been surprsingly good. It has turned out 4 bench players and one starter. The 54th pick hasn't produced anyone. So, it doesn't look like there will be too much help in the draft. With the history of the 12th pick, I'd trade it. Perhaps for a veteran that can help get you over the top.
