Boston Dream Team

If I had to put together a Boston Celtic Dream Team it would look like the following.  I am only going to use the players since I have been watching basketball.  They would dominate.

PG--Dennis Johnson--He could do everything. Defend, rebound, score, handle the ball.  He one a championship with Seattle prior to his days with the Celtics.  No nonsense type of guy.  He simply won games.

SG--Ray Allen--One of the best shooters of all time.  You can't help off of this guy at all.  Allen can beat players off the dribble, but doesn't have to do that because he needs such little space to get a shot off.

SF--Larry Bird--He would be on my all time dream team.  He had eyes in the back of his head.  He could find an open team mate anywhere on the floor.  He also could shoot over, around, under, and through people.  Perhaps the best pig player of all time.  And, no one hustled harder.

PF--Kevin McHale--It is unbelievable how good this guy was.  Mr. Post Move. He could up and under and score.  Meanwhile, your power forward have all fouled out trying to guard him.  I know there would be several that would put Garnett here. But,McHale had that extra special something that kept getting the Celtics titles.

C--Robert Parish--He might be the best defending 20point center I've seen.  This guy could stop anyone in the post.  He was also the meanest looking post player. 

Bench--Paul Pierce--He could play for Bird or Allen and get shots.  He would be the leading scorer for the second squad.

Bench--Kevin Garnett--Player either post or power forward and be a monster, scary option inside.

Bench--Danny Ainge--You loved him or hated him. And, that probably depended on which side you were on.  If the other team gets physical or dirty, send in Ainge.  He'll bite off your finger and then hit a three whith it. 

Bench--Reggie Lewis--An athletic scorer that I wish I could have seen play more.

The last 3 bench spots are for team morale.  These guys aren't going to play much.  But, when they do, the crowd goes crazy:

Bil Walton--The most memorable bench player of all time, waiving that towell.

Dee Brown--We have to have somebody in the slam dunk contest.

Len Bias--You know we all wanted him to carry on the Celtic tradition.
