Buffalo Bills Fantasy outlook

The Bills have finished 7 and 9 three years in a row.  It may become four.  The team looks great and shaky offensively at the same time.  The no huddle offense is a new addition and so is Terrell Owens.  So, you can expect big things.  The downside is that 2 rookies are starting on an already shaky offensive line.

QB

Trent Edwards is the starter and with the no huddle and Terrell Owens on the team, expect his numbers to rise.  He did not have any 300 yard passing games and only one multiple TD game.  He could be the most improved quarterback in the league.  However, with an offensive line that is starting 2 rookies and Lynch out the first 3 games, he could be dead meat to start the season.  He could be a steal.  You are going to need a quarterback to replace him at some point. The safest bet here is that he won't stay healthy for all 16 games.  Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick is a good backup.  He got plenty of time with Cincinnati last year.

RB

Marshawn Lynch will be suspended 1 to 3 games to start the year.  Last year he rushed for over 100 yards 3 times and scored multiple TDs just once.  He is a really good running back and should be a yearly 1000 yard guy.  Even with the suspension he should score more touchdowns this year.  Fred Jackson and Dominic Rhodes will compete for the backup role. Rhodes is a lock for the third down back.  Jackson probably will get the bulk of the carries while Lynch is out.  In the last game of the year last season, he had over 100 yards as the starter.  So, Jackson is an early season starter with lots of value. If he does well, it could cut into Lynch's yards.  But not Lynch's scoring.

WR

Terrell Owens is looking great and so is Lee Evans.  These both could be 1000 yard receivers in this no huddle.  Take Owens high and Evans as well.  The third receiver is wide open. Josh Reed has been the number 2. There are reports that he won't be the number 3, to reports that he will have best year ever.  Roscoe Parish is pushing him as well as Steve Johnson.  Johnson has the most upside and bruised up his ribs which is putting him back for now.

TE

Shawn Nelson was drafted to catch the ball.  He is by far not the best blocker.  So, his time on the field for now may come in 3rd down situations.  He may be a good TE to grab as a backup in a keeper league right now.  The other tight ends will catch the ball some. If you have to pick one I'd still pick Nelson over Derek Schouman, who is the starter.

K Rian Lindell is a good kicker, but not great.  I'd put him in the middle of the league.
