Miami Dolphins fantasy outlook

The Dolphins were a much improved team last year.  There might be a slight step back this year, or maybe a stand still.  This team won't be better.  Mostly because they did not upgrade their talent that much and their scheduale will be a lot harder.  The defense will be the strength of this team and the offense will be a ball control type offense.  So, low scores means a good fantasy pick for the defense.

 QB

Chad Pennington had some good games and was a great story last year.  He is not the guy who will get them to the next level.  So, don't waste your time if you are in a keeper league.  He will be over valued by most.  Pennington doesn't have back to  back weeks that are statistically sound.  He will start the season as a starter and that is big in some fantasy leagues.  If the Dolphins faulter, Chad Henne will probably get a shot.  At this point, he is a wild card.  Who knows how good or bad he is going to be.  Keep an eye on him.  Pat White is another backup QB who will run all over the field.  He will play every week and get some touches.  It's a hit or miss as to weather he will score. He is a big play waiting to happen.  So, he may be worth a shot in those big play scoring leagues.  If I were in a deep keeper league, I would pick him and play him once in a while in a utility or receiver spot.

RB

Ronnie Brown rushed for over a 1000 yards and 8 TDs last year.  Expect another 1000 plus season this year.  But, he is antoher back that is over rated.  Not because of talent, but due to the team he playes for.  4 of his 8 touchdowns came in one game.  This team just has a hard time scoring and that doesn't look to change.  Brown is a back to have, but don't overvalue him.  Ricky Williams rushed for over 500 yards last year and still is capable of 100 yard games.  If anything were to happen to Brown, pounce on Williams.  He did not score many TDs last year and doesn't figure to this year either.

WR

Ted Ginn Jr, Greg Camarillo, Davone Bess all caught 50 something passes each last year.  They are all equal in talent and have a limited QB that throws the ball, which negates Ginn's speed.  So, expect close to the same numbers this year.

TE

Anthony Fasano will be the starter again and post similar numbers.  Roughly 400 yards and 3 TDs.  Not much else to report here.

K

Dan Carpenter is the starter.  The offense is so stagnant that he shouldn't be a top choice.  If a choice at all.
